Bug Buzz is STAB that can potentially be further boosted with Swarm to take on Dark- and Psychic-types like Hydreigon, Hoopa-U, and Slowbro. dex info and also bug buzz owns these mons regardless of swarm (besides maybe hoopa u but like, thats more a gamestate thing) and this reads as if bug buzz doesnt beat them if its not in swarm range Psychic targets Poison- and Fighting-types like Toxapex, Okidogi, and Great Tusk mention clodsire even tho it wins the 1v1 anyway its still kinda important. Flamethrower allows Volcarona to handle Steel-types such as Corviknight, Skarmory, and Gholdengo. Alternatively, Giga Drain can be used over Flamethrower as it grants Volcarona a recovery option and allows it to threaten Water- and Ground-types such as Primarina, Swampert, and Hippowdon remove the hippo mention and put gastro instead.
